An excellent morning of planting was held on November 10th 2002 around the waterfall. A group of residents with support from ARC ranger John and landcare representative Jo spent a couple of hours planting natives to reduce the erosion in that area. We have learnt from the previous flooding so are hoping planting in the spring will give the plants a better chance of establishing before the winter floods.

Also thanks to the Waitakere Community Board for allocation of additional funds to this project. The landcare group is consulting with the ARC and considering how these funds will be spent
